The Athens County Foundation announced today that Hilary Nichols has joined the foundation to help further develop relationships with current donors and community members.
Hilary Nichols comes with a wealth of experience within the non-profit field, having spent the last eight years at the American Cancer Society working in community development and engagement. In that job, Hilary worked in several counties in southeast Ohio where she collaborated with numerous volunteers, businesses and health systems. Hilary graduated from Otterbein College in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in public relations and broadcasting.
Susan Urano, Executive Director of the Foundation said that we are fortunate to find someone with Mrs. Nichols experience. She will complement our existing staff and expand our ability to work with donors.
The Athens County Foundation manages a portfolio of over 40 funds in addition to a large unrestricted fund. These resources are used to invest in local strategies to empower Athens County residents and build on the strengths of our region, now and for generations to come. In addition, the Foundation brings communities together to solve challenging issues facing Athens County.
