Measuring Progress
We are deeply committed to understanding and improving the quality of life for all residents of our vibrant region. One of the ways we measure our progress and highlight our community's ongoing efforts is through the "Athens County Report".
Athens County Report
The Athens County Report serves as a compass, guiding us through the landscape of challenges and opportunities that shape our community.This report provides a snapshot of those factors that affect progress toward the following strategic priorities: economic vitality, vibrant communities, and individual health and wellbeing. Since 2016, when this report was first commissioned, the Athens County Report has informed and directed the work of the Foundation, and many local nonprofit organizations, government organizations, churches, and other organizations serving the community.
This report is made possible through the support of the Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service,Sunday Creek Horizons, and the numerous Athens County community members who graciously contributed their time and insights.
Deep-Dive Reports: Understanding Athens County's Challenges
Recognizing that lasting change requires a deep understanding of complex issues, ACF, in partnership with Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service, will publish a series of in-depth reports on key areas within Athens County. These reports will explore critical topics such as food security, housing, mental health, and more.
